Korea Welcomes More Aussies with New Flights from Gold Coast

Jetstar launched its maiden flight from Gold Coast to Incheon on the 8th of December. It is the first Australian low-cost airline to fly non-stop to South Korea.

According to Australian Federation of Travel Agents’ recent statistics, Australian visitors to South Korea reached a 10% increase compared to previous year, with over 79,000 outbound travellers recorded in July 2019. Jetstar (JQ49) Gold Coast to Incheon/Seoul flight will operate three times a week (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday).

Earlier on, KTO partnered with Jetstar in hosting a ‘Korea Tourism Night’ for tour wholesalers and agents in Gold Coast last 8th of October, presenting the new flight and showcasing destinations in Korea that would appeal to Australian travellers.

The Korea Tourism Organisation office in Sydney has been actively promoting Korea as a leisure tourism destination in Australia and New Zealand. It has been collaborating with major tour wholesalers, retailers, airlines on several projects and events to boost the awareness of Korea as a destination in the pacific region.
