The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) will host another round of its awareness campaign, Korea Tourism Night, this time in Melbourne.
The Korea Tourism Organisation will hold the 2019 Korea Tourism Night at Mahn Doo restaurant, Melbourne, on the 18th of September 2019. This information session will be attended by approximately 60 tourism industry professionals, representing a good mix of tour wholesalers, travel agencies, and media in Melbourne.
The event will provide attendees with opportunities to discover the latest travel trends in Korea that would appeal to the Australian market from a short presentation by KTO, network and engage with industry colleagues, and get a chance to win special prizes, including a round-trip ticket to Seoul courtesy of Asiana Airlines.
Through the event, KTO aims to raise awareness of Korea’s tourism offerings by showcasing its diverse destinations, products, and experiences and to encourage trade partners to develop products that would drive bookings into Korea. This year alone, KTO has organised the event in several cities in Australia and New Zealand, including Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland.
“Korea has welcomed over 180,000 tourists from Australia and New Zealand last year. We are excited to see an increase in the number of tourist arrivals from these regions – most especially with the upcoming launch of new direct flights from Gold Coast and Auckland before the end of this year.” Tai Hwan Kim, Director at Korea Tourism Organisation Sydney explains. “To further boost these numbers, we need the support of local wholesalers and agencies. We can achieve this by educating and familiarising them with our key selling points through this kind of event,” he added.
