With a Thousand of Expressions of Nature
The XXIII Olympic Winter Games was held for 17 days from 9 to 25 February 2018 in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, the Republic of Korea.
Located in the mid-eastern part of the Korean peninsula, Gangwon-do is blessed with beautiful mountains (Seoraksan, Chiaksan, Odaesan and Taebaeksan) and clean beaches that offer some of the best sceneries and vacation spots all through the year.
Top summer vacation destinations include the Gyeongpo Beach, which is the largest beach on the east coast, and the Jeongdongjin Beach, which lies in front of the Jeongdongjin Train Station. These beaches are popular spots for watching the sunrise on a New Year’s morning. Winter in Gangwon-do is heaven for winter sports enthusiasts as the province gets a lot of snow.
