This year’s Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market is opening online in collaboration with an online market platform, Idus. The market is open from the 28th of September to the end of December.
Seoul Bamdeokkaebi Night Market started in 2015 with a trial run consisting of 120 participating sellers of various items. The program attracted over 200,000 visitors in 2015. The numbers grew each year reaching over 5 million visitors in 2017 and the markets started operating in various parts of Seoul including Yeouido, Banpo, Cheonggyecheon Stream, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), and more. Many people anticipate the opening of Seoul’s Bamdeokkaebi Night market and eventually, it became one of the most popular night activities in South Korea.
This year, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market will not operate physically. However, they have announced to open the market online! The online event will showcase handmade jewelry, hair accessories, and other design products made from the ideas of artists in 100 teams. Don’t miss this unique shopping experience!
