Korea Art Week Opens Online and Offline

Korea Art Week, Korea’s largest art event consisting of major art museums, galleries, and exhibition spaces, will take place from September 24 to October 11 with the theme “Your Life is An Art.” In particular, this year’s art week will have various online programs to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

There will be approximately 40 online exhibitions to allow people to enjoy art from the comfort of their homes. The art week website also features an exhibition with artwork made for virtual reality.

Furthermore, EBS’ radio program, “Lee Chungah’s Museum A-log” will introduce art pieces through ASMR. Listeners can experience a unique trip to the museum by listening to the museum tour and hearing the different sounds from a museum.

Five art markets open during art week will also offer online exhibitions, artwork sales, auctions, and more. The Korea International Art Fair will also open an online market for art enthusiasts.

Information on Korea Art Week, experience programs, discounts, and more is available on the official website.
