Instagrammable Cafés in South Korea You Should Visit

South Korea has a bustling café culture which goes beyond having a sip of coffee. It’s about coming together with family, friends, and co-workers to unwind and catch-up.

It’s no surprise to see several cafés close to each other; in fact, Seoul alone has over 17,000 of it. Whether you are looking to pet some cute puppies, play board games with friends, read comic books, or simply want to add glamour on your social media – Korea is abundant of unique cafés to do just that!

Here are some cafés that go extra mile with their food & drink offerings, décor, and atmosphere.

1. C. Through Café

C. Through café which went viral for its barista’s impressive latte art skills.

Kangbin, the owner of C.Through café, is a highly skilled barista who draws replicas of popular paintings in your drink. He calls it ‘cream art.’ 🎨 Apart from flawlessly recreating Van Gogh’s Starry night or Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa or concocting an instagrammable coffee beverage, Kangbin makes sure that his drinks are delicious to make customers from coming back. Surprisingly, the price of his creations is not as expensive as the paintings! With just AUD 6-8, you can enjoy a customised cream art of your choice.

2. YND 239-20 Café

YND 239-20 is named after the initials of its location, Yeo Nam Dong. This café is another head turner in social media with its simple black and white colour scheme that produces a 2D, pencil-drawn effect. The comic design is seen all throughout the café’s interior as well with its cups and cutlery. According to an interview with Forbes, the owner did not intentionally designed the cafe to attract instagram fans; rather, the absence of color was meant to eliminate distraction and noise – perhaps, to stimulate concentration or relaxation. What do you think?
