Visit the Catholic Sites in Korea

Cathoicism in Korea began with a group of Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910) schoars’ academic interest in Catholic books like Cheonjusirui(De Deo Verax Disputatio) published in China, in the early 17th century, late Joseon. In 1784, Peter Yi Seung-hun became the first Korean to be baptized. After his baptism in Beijing, Yi returned to Joseon and founded a Church in Korea was established. This is when Catholicism had its beginning as erligion in joseon.
